Recipe-154-Cinnamon Infused Olive Oil
Cinnamon oil has antibacterial, antifungal, antidiabetic and antioxidant properties plus it doubles as a mood enhancer due to its feel-good aromas that are commonly used in aromatherapy. This recipe works in both sweet and savory dishes to give your meals a hint of sweetness without sugar. It goes really well with salads that contain fruit, sweet potatoes, pumpkin dishes and oriental red meat recipes with tomato sauce.
Get a clean, dry jar and fit ads many as possible cinnamon sticks in.
Pour in the extra virgin olive oil until all of the cinnamon sticks are completely immersed.
- Seal the jars and let it steep in a dry cupboard for 2 weeks, shaking the jar daily.
- Remove the cinnamon sticks and store in a dry, cool and dark place for up to a month.
