From our family to yours
The Kasandrinos grew up traveling to their family’s village of Niata in Lakonia, Greece. Food, family, and lots of olive oil were always the center of their lives… and they still are! Meet the family who’s passion for responsibly-sourced, single-origin olive oil led them to create Kasandrinos.
Founder & CEO
Tony is a native of Rochester, New York, but spent a good portion of his childhood in his father’s village in Niata, Greece. After graduating from the Aquinas Institute, Tony joined the Marine Corps in 1997 and retired from active duty in the fall of 2019. Tony founded Kasandrinos International in 2012 after sharing the family olive oil with the members of the Crossfit gym he was training at. After a few months, he asked Effi to create a partnership to help bring our olive oil to the world. Tony currently resides in Santa Rosa Beach with his wife Angela and son Ares. In his free time, he loves traveling, being outdoors, and spending time around the table with friends and family. Tony’s favorite way to eat olive oil is drenched over a horiatik salata (Greek salad) and lamb chops.
Effi Kasandrinos Booth
Founder & CFO
Effi Kasandrinos Booth graduated from the University of Maryland in 2003 and served as an Executive Assistant to multiple investment bankers at JP Morgan from 2003 until 2014. A business opportunity for her Husband brought her to Las Vegas in 2014, where she worked as an Executive Assistant to the CFO and General Counsel at the Cosmopolitan Hotel for 6 ½ years. She has since left the hotel business to focus on her role as co-owner and CFO for Kasandrinos Int’l as well as the controller for her husband’s multi-state restaurant franchise business. She is a wife and mother of 3 girls: Ava, Ana, and Arya.
Efrosyni Kostakis Colati
After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in New Media Design, Efrosyni moved to Virginia for a job at an agency doing UX and UI work. In 2016, she joined cousins Tony and Effi on the Kasandrinos team to work on everything from the labels to the website in her spare time outside of her 9-5 job. Today, Efrosyni lives in Rochester, NY with her fiance Domenico. They’re getting married in one of their favorite places, Monemvasia, Greece this summer. Efrosyni’s favorite memory from Greece is eating meals cooked by her Yiayia.
Erica Spagnola Vines
Erica Spagnola Vines heads the Domestic & Wholesale Division. Born & raised in New Jersey, she now lives in Newport Beach, CA with her husband Kevin. Her career in food and beverage began with Spindrift Beverage Co, gaining first-hand experience as to how to successfully grow a start up in both foodservice & retail in the greater New York City region. She then took her career to a new level when she joined renowned speciality distributor Baldor Specialty Foods in NY. Erica believes forming & growing relationships are essential to success, particularly in this industry. She values honesty, hard work, & grit. Some key accomplishments include working with the following industry leaders: award winning James Beard Chef Dominique Ansel & his NY & LA teams; the award winning Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast; & the award winning Waldorf Astoria Resort & Spa at Monarch Beach in Dana Point. In her spare time, she loves working out, going to the beach, & enjoying delicious food with family & friends.
Yota Chelf Dortlouke. Award-winning chef and content creator. She specializes in food styling and photography, also while working as a freelancer on creative projects in the music, and lifestyle industry. She enjoys luxe minimalism and quality over quantity. Values eclecticism and enjoys working with small but dedicated creative teams that intentionally stray from the norm. Chelf was born and raised in Greece and currently resides in the amazing city, Thessaloniki. When she is not creating amazing recipes, she spends her days addicted to coffee and olive oil.
