Heat the olive oil in a sauce pan and sauté the potatoes for 5-7 minutes. Add the steak cubes and sauté for 5 more minutes, adding the garlic the last minute.
- Remove the steak chunks along with a few potato chunks from the saucepan and process the remaining soup with a stick blender to get a creamy and thick consistency. Return the potato chunks and the steak pieces to the saucepan.
- Serve hot, garnished with spring onions.
