-The healing Chai

We enjoy a nice cup of chai every single day but when we are coming down with a cold, there's nothing more comforting than holding a cup of delicious, aromatic tea and sipping slowly.

We used Organic Chai Tea which is a blend of hand-selected tea leaves and ethically cultivated spices including exotic Malabar cardamom.

Here’s how to make a healing chai tea with olive oil

You will need:

2 tablespoons Chai Tea

½ cup milk, dairy or plant

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 teaspoon honey

2 cloves

½ cinnamon stick

3 cardamom pods –crushed with a wide knife

1 teaspoon ginger

¼ cup ground turmeric

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

How to:

In a small non-stick pot, warm the milk, cloves, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and ginger and bring to a very low and gentle simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the tea leaves and continue to simmer for a couple of more minutes.

Strain into a teapot with a fine sieve.

Mix in the olive oil, turmeric, and honey.

Pour into your mug and enjoy warm.

NOTE: If you want to give it a little froth give it a little whir with a stick blender and serve right away.
